NEWSPAPER HACKER
collage project June 2014 till June 2015
The newspaper belongs to the mass media. Its typical feature is the dissemination of daily updated information by means of writing and images.
A very important aspect is photojournalism.
Through its presentation, reportage photography influences ways of thinking. It is designed in the interests of industry, financial markets and governments. At the same time, photojournalism satisfies a craving for sensationalism and the expectation of catastrophic news.
Although in today's world it is known that images are manipulated, they have a higher “content of truth”.
In my series I take up photojournalism and use collage to move within the system of mass media. Over the course of a year, I worked with the daily editions of the Berliner Zeitung.The weekend edition was assembled into a collage. A total of 322 collages of different sizes were glued to book-binder boards.
